Berea Municipal Utilities personnel will be conducting system flushing on City of Berea fire hydrants beginning August 3, 2023, and continuing into the month of September. We will be posting maps and sending notices via our text notification system as we progress through the system and enter your area.
The flushing procedure serves the purpose of removing sediment and mineral deposits that settle inside water mains over time. If you notice a slight discoloration in your water, turn on a cold water tap at your home – preferably an outside faucet, to full flow for a few minutes until the water is clear.
