Bill Pay Options

Online
You can pay your bill online with a debit card or credit card, 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the BMU payment portal. Online payments are reflected on your account balance immediately. There are no additional fees associated with making online payments.

Please note, online payments made through your bank or through other third parties are noted on your account when payment is received in our office. Payments received from these third parties after the due date will be subject to late fees.

By Phone
Phone payments are accepted with a debit card or credit card by calling 859-756-4842. You will need to have your account number available. By phone payments are reflected on your account balance immediately. There are no additional fees associated with making by phone payments.

 Auto Pay
BMU can directly debit your payment out of your checking account each month. To set up ACH, complete the Authorization Agreement for Automatic Payment Plan and return to BMU in person or by mail to 212 Chestnut, Berea, KY 40403. Please include a voided check or deposit slip showing the account number and routing number for the account which the payment will be drafted. ACH payments are processed on the 10th of each month. If the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday, withdrawals will be processed the Friday before the 10th. There are no additional fees associated with auto payments.

 By Mail
Payments can be made by mail sent to Berea Municipal Utilities, P.O. Box 926, Berea, KY 40403. A return envelope has been provided with your bill for your convenience. Please include your account number on your check. Please do not mail cash payments. Please provide sufficient time for your payment to be received. Payments are credited to your account on the date it was received in BMU office. Payments received after the due date will be subject to late fees.

 In Person
Payments can be made at our drive through window or in our lobby at City Hall at 212 Chestnut Street. In person payments can be made with cash, check, money order or credit or debit card. Payments are credited to your account on the date it was received. Payments received after the due date will be subject to late fees.

 Drop Box
A drop box is available for payments after hours. The box is located beside the drive through window at City Hall at 212 Chestnut Street. Payments can be made in drop box with checks. A return envelope has been provided with your bill for your convenience. Please include your account number on your check. Please do not put cash payments in the drop box. Payments are credited to your account on the date it was received. Payments received after the due date will be subject to late fees.
